Junk Mail is defined as mail that you receive in your letterbox that is not addressed to you.
Even if you have a “No Junk Mail” sign on your letterbox you will probably still receive some unaddressed mail. Under Queensland Government legislation, there are four categories of exemption to the “No Junk Mail” request.
- Items of a political nature
- Items of a religious nature
- Items that relate to community organisations and events
- Free community newspapers/magazines
