No Junk Mail explained

Junk Mail is defined as mail that you receive in your letterbox that is not addressed to you.

Even if you have a “No Junk Mail” sign on your letterbox you will probably still receive some unaddressed mail.  Under Queensland Government legislation, there are four categories of exemption to the “No Junk Mail” request.

These are:

  • Items of a political nature
  • Items of a religious nature
  • Items that relate to community organisations and events
  • Free community newspapers/magazines
